Because it is a delicate tourist destination, which can receive few visitors at a time and with sufficient standards to preserve this territory considered a nature reserve, there are few possibilities to spend the night on this island. There are only three possibilities to sleep in Berlengas. The fourth possibility is to sleep in Peniche.

- Sleeping in the São João Baptista fort: it has a capacity for 50 people, 10 euros per night and, despite not having the maximum conditions, since you will have to bring everything you need, including bedding, it has a beautiful view from the sea and even better if you have a bright moon to illuminate it. It has a shared kitchen for all guests, and reservations must be made directly with the Association of Friends of Berlengas. This group is working hard to preserve and improve the conditions of this magnificent monument.
- Sleeping in the Mar e Sol Pavilion: This is the most conventional and comfortable of the three options for staying in the Berlengas. In addition to overnight stays, the Hotel Pavilhão Mar e Sol has a restaurant, the only one in the archipelago.
- Dormir en el Parque de Campismo das Berlengas: it is installed in a beautiful area, which allows the visitor to choose to stay there to have direct contact with nature. The rates are very nice: 8 euros per night for each tent. It should be noted that this is a limited space, with a capacity for about 40 tents, so it is best to contact the Peniche Tourist Office or the Peniche City Hall, which manages the park, to reserve and pay for your advance stay.
- Sleeping in Peniche: There is a good range of options for accommodation in Peniche. From 5-star hotels to more straightforward pensions. There is also a wide variety of guest houses and hostels.
Fort of São João Baptista
After a long period of abandonment, the São João Baptista Fort was partially reclassified, beginning to function as an inn with a restaurant. Spartan conditions make it necessary to take everything you need, including bedding.
There is a kitchen where you can prepare your meals and you are given a bit of space in the fridge.
The value of the rooms is negligible and costs only 15 euros. It has a capacity for 50 people, and reservations must be made directly with the Association of Friends of Berlengas.

Pensión Pavilhão Mar e Sol
For those who want more comfort and better benefits, there is the possibility of spending the night in the Mar e Sol Pavilhão, which has 6 rooms (with half board and bed linen/towels), with private bathroom and sea view, where prices are around. 75 euros/couple.
If you intend to stay here, you should book as soon as possible as this hotel has only six double rooms.

Camping Berlengas
For those who want to venture out and have the experience of living in direct contact with the nature of this small archipelago, they can spend the night in the camp and pay only 8 euros per day/tent.
This camp has space for 6 tents (2 pax), 16 tents (3 pax), and 17 tents (4 pax). It is highly recommended to book in advance, as it is a very crowded park.

Aviz Residence
The Residencia Aviz is a good option, one of the cheapest in the city, located right in the center of Peniche, in a picturesque area surrounded by traditional houses. This hotel in Peniche is a typical pension, without great luxuries but very genuine.

If you prefer something more modern and need an apartment in Peniche, gaining comfort and losing the classic look of the establishment, opt for Paul & Maria – The Rooms.

Ò Da Casa
Ó da Casa – Guesthouse in the center of Peniche, a 10-minute walk from Gamboa Beach and a 6-minute walk from Peniche Fortress, with access to a shared kitchen.
In another price range, with double rooms for around 50 euros, we have Ò Da Casa, a lovely establishment just 200 meters from the center of Peniche.
The decor is fresh and clean, with lots of white and blue, including tile paneling, and some of the rooms have a nice balcony with a view.

Mercearia D’Alegria
Mercearia D’Alegria – Boutique B&B is located near the center of Peniche, 1.3 km from Peniche Fortress and 300 meters from Praia da Gamboa
Mercearia D’Alegria Boutique B&B has a curious name. This building, dating from 1936, housed a grocery store for decades before being renovated and transformed into a bed & breakfast, opened in 2015, where you can now stay on your visit to Peniche.
Its location is less central than the other options presented here, but instead, it will be only 300 meters from Praia da Gamboa. A double room costs about 70 euros, but this value includes a good breakfast.
The entire space has been tastefully restored, and the rooms are pleasant, decorated with attention to detail, and comfortable.
